This is a private members' club for the benefit of parishioners, their families and friends. It originated as a social club for the agricultural workers of the parish. Situated in Old Church Lane, everyone is encouraged to join for a very minimal annual fee. Opening times are 9 pm to 11 pm Monday to Friday and from 12 noon to 2 pm on Sundays. The bar is staffed by volunteer members.
With no pub or other community centre, the Club is the centre of social recreation in the village. From time to time events are organised including pool competitions, film evenings or cheese and wine tastings.
Refurbishment of the Club
With the help of many villagers and funds raised in the village the Westley Club was completely refurbished three years ago. The Club now provides a modern, comfortable and attractive environment for members to enjoy whether just for a drink with friends, attending a local event or on a special occasion.
The Club is available for all villagers to use for birthday parties or other family celebrations.
